Santa Claus

This evening we went to the base Christmas Tree lighting.....and Santa Claus showed up for a photo opportunity :-)

Thanksgiving

We had such a nice Thanksgiving.  Ginny and her new husband, Dick, came for a visit.  We had a wonderful time but unfortunately were too busy eating turkey, playing games and enjoying company to take any pictures :-(

We did get a bit of a surprise on Thanksgiving Day.  David decided to walk.  He just grabbed his "scooter car" and walked.  Simple as that!  Here is a video of it:

Needless to say we are so proud of him but are finding it a bit scary how fast he is growing up!

Family Pictures!!

A few weeks ago I entered a contest and won and as a result we received a photo session with Addie Talley, a wonderful local photographer here in Columbus.  We were absolutely THRILLED with the pictures she took.  I've posted a small taste.  THANK YOU ADDIE!!!!

David's Growing Fast!!

David has been growing and developing so fast!!  He is now crawling all over the house, pulling himself to standing, and started baby babbling.  He absolutely loves to pull himself to standing in his crib and every morning it's an adventure to go in and get him and find what he is doing. It usually looks like this:

He has decided that the plastic tub we put his toys in is actually more fun that the toys themselves and it is fun to stand with too:

Another really fun place to play he has found is in the tupperware cabinet.  I have tripped on more plastic containers than I can count!!!

We still love to go on our walks...it's starting to get chilly so now we have to bundle up a bit :-)

Pumpkin Patch

David and I went with Amber and Miles to the pumpkin patch today.  It was a gorgeous day which was wonderful but David didn't like looking up into the sun.  We did the best we could with the pictures.....I assure you we had more fun than the pictures show :-)

All things David....

It's been a while since we blogged....Life has been good at the Shedd household and David continues to get big, be happy, sleep well, and be the apple of his parents' eyes. The following are some pictures of our times together:Evening play time

We had a fun play date with our friend Miles and we experimented with finger paints....

David has the cutest trick.  He has really found his voice (but has yet to find the volume control) and loves to scream happily in the evenings.  He will do this all evening until.....he sees a tag.  For some reason when he finds a tag on his blanket or one of his toys he will "growl" at it.  It keeps dad and mom in stitches in the evenings:

Favorite Activities

David is growing and changing so fast!  He now sits steadily and plays by himself.  He rolls over both ways and he is rapidly teaching his parents to watch him very closely.  Although he isn't crawling yet he's still pretty mobile through rolling and "scootching" :-)  His little legs are getting strong (and chubby :-)) and he Loves to jump!!

David's other favorite activity is eating (hence the chubby legs).  He has completely mastered baby oatmeal, rice cereal and we have introduced him to baby food.  He has tried sweet potatoes and he seems to really love to eat "real" food almost as much as he loves to make a mess of his food :-)
