BEST NEWS EVER!!!

For those of you who haven't heard TIM IS ON HIS WAY HOME (for good)!!!!

This is what he wrote right before he left Baghdad after a brief weather delay.....I'll let Tim speak for us:

Weather looks pretty good now.  I can see the half moon and the winds are calming down.  Saw the final sun set on Baghdad...white round sun through the sand.  Great sight for these young eyes I can tell you.

Planning on walking to terminal in the next 3 hours.

Should be out of Iraq in 6 hours.

Should be out of SW Asia in 25 hours.  Should be in the US Tuesday
night.  Home Wednesday afternoon.

Tell David to get happy.  Daddy is coming home!

Love Tim

Visitors!!

David and I were lucky enough to get a visit from Aunt Jenni and Uncle Stephen and Cousins Will and Sarah!!  Although the weather didn't cooperate we had a wonderful time and it was so nice to have company!!  They gave me a nice break by feeding David, holding him, and providing me with some adult interaction :-)  It was a fantastic weekend and I can't thank them enough!!  Here are some pictures of our time:

Will and Sarah scoping out the "slushie" maker which later in the day became a Margarita Maker.....MMMMmmmmmmm

Sunny Day

It's been a while since I updated....Our days don't change too much. I've returned to work (6 days a month). David is adjusting well and, although it took me alot longer than him, I am able to drop him off without bursting into tears now. Below are a few somewhat random pictures from the past month:

David loves the purple monkey on his play mat.  He is starting to reach for it and sometimes he actually catches it!
He's doing much better holding his head up and we are starting to let him sit in his "Bumbo" for a few minutes at a time...
Mom bought him a new hat to hide his tiny head from the sun....

I rarely get a picture with David since I'm usually the one with the camera but I have these so I thought I'd share these too....
